Our vision

STARS (Splicing Technology Allows Reduction of Steel ) began as a BARTEC GROUP initiative to provide information on the many advantages of mechanical splicing systems for reinforcing bars, particularly as a “green” alternative to traditional cladding.


An immediate reduction

Thanks to over 30 years’ experience, LINXION The Original has been able to evaluate the impact of connecting parallel threaded couplers inside complex reinforced concrete structures, arriving at the surprising conclusion of a possible reduction in the quantity of steel by over 20%, equivalent to an immediate reduction in the carbon present inside the structure of over 4%!

An EGBC nomination

It’s important to remember that in 2022, our STARS vision was named by the EGBC (Emirates Green Building Council) as one of the top three “green” building research projects of the year in the United Arab Emirates, a country at the forefront of efforts to reduce the carbon footprint embedded in its futuristic structures.




The case : GRAND PARIS EXPRESS

The Grand Paris Express is a public transport network project consisting of four automatic metro lines around Paris, and the extension of two existing lines, creation 200km of track.

BARTEC GROUP has delivered 320,000 couplers in 2021.

The BARTEC/linxion threaded mechanical splice system has resulted in significant steel savings.
