Galvanization

—— Products

Galvanization

Galvanization provides anti-corrosion protection for steel tubes.
The galvanizing process provides the protective coating with enhanced adhesion, impermeability and mechanical strength.

Standard EN ISO 1461 requires a minimum thickness of :

  • 55 µm for steel thicknesses between 1.5 and 3 mm
  • 70 µm for steels between 3 and 6 mm thick
  • 85 µm for steels thicker than 6 mm.

Treatment

Hot-dip galvanized to NF EN ISO 1461 standards. minimum local thickness defined in the standard : 55 µm (General value measured : 70 to 100 m)

Production

Subcontracted to specialized factories. This service is provided within the framework of a contractual Quality Assurance System.

Control

A galvanization certificate will be supplied (on request) for each galvanized batch.

—— Security

The raw material used

The raw material used to manufacture our tubes is grade E235 Quality 2 (S235 JRH) steel with a scraped inner weld seam.

Our tubes comply with the regulations for longitudinally pressure-welded, cold-finished tubes, and conform to standard NF EN 10219.
The material used is suitable for bending, end flaring and hot-dip galvanization (Class I – II steels).

A 3.1 certificate for the material can be supplied on request.

Standard – type C FR

Complies with NFA 35020 and Eurocode 2 fatigue requirements.

Withstands steels with an RM of 700Mpa.

Available and in stock for diameters from 12 to 43 mm.
